Today I want to talk about the importance of self refection when it comes to having more success in your working life, your health and your personal life.
Self-reflection is about taking the time and energy to know the importance of evaluating one self.
It is about looking at where you are currently and what you want to achieve in the future.
Many of us already reflect on how our day went, we give thought to our family, our health, the future and the list goes on.
Why is it important to have time every day to reflect on ones self?
- There are Life Lessons in taking time to reflect. Everyone can really befit from self-reflection from time to time.
- Self reflection is one of the ways to remove inner blocks that hinder us from going forward. If we are experiencing being stuck, then we should look within using the tool of self-reflection. It is critical for our development and well being.
- Self reflection of ourselves helps us to understand how we came to make certain decisions, but it also can give us solutions for the future.
Questions are valuable in self-reflection. Ask yourself questions like “how do I tackle this inner block so that I may go forward?
Self-Reflection helps us do just that.
Self reflection moves us to “action”. It helps us to learn a higher level of thought.
One method that I enjoy using is writing down goals or targets I want to achieve in all aspects of my life and reflect if I am on track to achieve them by keeping my self accountable.
Self reflection has helped me greatly in my life and I believe it paves the way to future success in all areas.
The following are steps that I have come to use:
- Get out from your normal environment. Maybe go to a park; take a walk, go camping or on a retreat setting.
- Sometimes you can find a quiet place in your home. There can not be any inner or outer distractions.
- Use this time to dream. Imagine yourself successful and imagine how that will feel. Begin thinking about what you desire!
